GEOMECHANICS
Wellbore Stability, Formation Fracturing and Stimulation Planning, Drilling Performance Evaluation require a detailed Geomechanical Analysis and the basis for such analysis is Petrophysics. Elastic Parametrers and Rock Physics Attributes are calculated mainly from Sonic and Density Logs as Dynamic Properties. Core Analysis ist also another method of Geomechanical Analysis. Through Monoaxial, Triaxial, Shear, Ultrasonic and other Tests the Static Elastic Properties are determined.
Drilling Dynamics is a direct RealTime method which can be correlated with the Rock Mechanics of the drilled Formation. Through the normalization of the Surface Drilling Parameters a direct correlation can be made with the Static and Dynamic Geomechanical Properties.
